 What is your shipping policy?

 Shipped by the seller: The shipping of this work is provided directly by the seller.
Packaging (box).  All works are shipped carefully protected and insured, with a carrier.
Order tracking until delivery to the buyer. A tracking number will be provided so you can track the package in real time.
Lead times: most packages are delivered worldwide within 1-3 weeks (estimate).

What is your return policy?

Free returns: money back within 14 days.
Return accepted 14 days: artist Bastien is 100% committed to the satisfaction of collectors.  You have 14 days to return an original artwork.  The work must be returned to the artist in perfect condition, in its original packaging.  All eligible items can be returned (unless otherwise specified.)

What are the accepted payment methods?

100% secure transaction, Payment methods accepted:
Paypal.
Secure direct purchase. The transaction is guaranteed by Bastien artist: the seller will only be paid once the customer has received the work. 100% secure payment with a certificate of authenticity included.

Are the works offered at Atelier Bastien-artiste all available online?

The online offer may differ from the workshop. If you see a work in the studio, it will not necessarily be offered online, and vice versa. Our website is updated daily to ensure the availability of the latest artwork in the studio.

How do I know which works are available online?

If a work is offered online, a “Buy” button will accompany the detailed description at the bottom of the enlarged image of the work.

 

Why can’t I add certain works, including reproductions, to my cart?

Only original artwork – paintings and derivative products – available online can be purchased through. If a work is not available online, its detailed description (at the bottom of the enlarged image of the work) will not be accompanied by a “Buy” button.

What price applies to products sold online?

All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars and all orders are processed in Canadian dollars.
The prices displayed online are identical to the prices in the workshop. No administration or transportation fees are added to online transactions.

 

Are taxes included in online prices?

Prices displayed online do not include sales taxes. The sales tax rate that applies to an order depends on the delivery address. Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 5% and Quebec Sales Tax (QST) of 9.975% apply to works shipped to Quebec. Only GST (5%) applies on works shipped to Alberta. The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) applies to the following provinces: Ontario (13%), Nova Scotia (15%), Prince Edward Island (15%), New Brunswick (15%), Newfoundland and Labrador (15%). GST (5%) and Provincial Sales Tax (PST) apply to works shipped to British Columbia (7%), Manitoba (7%) and Saskatchewan (6%).

 

Are the dimensions shown online in inches or centimeters?

All dimensions shown are in inches and are rounded to the nearest inch or fraction of an inch and cm. The dimensions may vary slightly due to variations in the manufacture of frames and canvases or at the discretion of the artist. Unless otherwise stated, the dimensions in the detailed description of the work refer to the actual size of the unframed artwork.
For tables, the first dimension is height, followed by width. So a 40 x 30 painting is a vertical painting (portrait orientation) and a 30 x 40 painting is a horizontal painting (landscape orientation).

Is coaching included in the price?

Unless otherwise stated in the detailed description of the work, the prices shown do not include the frame

Is it possible to buy a work without its frame?

It is possible to purchase a framed work. In such cases, the price is adjusted accordingly. If you wish to purchase a work without the framework offered, contact Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com before placing your order.

 

What is meant by «work on thick canvas, without framing»?

The works on thick canvas are painted on a gallery-style canvas, that is, a canvas stretched around a wooden frame about one-inch-three-quarters (1 ¾ inches) thick and fixed on the back. Staples, grommets and cable are not visible once the artwork is hung, and the sides of the canvas are usually painted – in black or a shade of the pattern – allowing the artwork to be enjoyed without framing. A work on thick canvas is usually presented as is, but can also be framed by a professional framing.

Do the works come with a certificate of authenticity?

Each original artwork sold by Bastien-artist comes with a certificate of authenticity duly completed and signed, included in an envelope affixed to the back of the canvas or on the package.

Are the works ready to hang on the wall?

Yes, a metal cable for hanging is already affixed to the back of each work offered online and in the workshop. You will also find a hook on the back of each work.

Is it possible to receive additional images of a work that interests me?

Yes, of course! We invite you to contact Bastien-artiste customer service if you wish to receive additional photos and close-ups of the work and/ or its framing. Do not hesitate to inquire about our personalized photomontage service, which allows you to preview the works in the space reserved for them.

Can we trust the colors of the images online?

We make every effort to display as faithfully as possible the works that appear on the site. However, we cannot guarantee that the colour representation on your computer screen is accurate. This rendering is based on many parameters related to the operation and use of your computer. If in doubt, please contact Bastien-artiste Customer Service at 1-438-390-7601 or info@nbastie.com . Additional images may be provided.

Do I need to create an account to place an order?

No account must be created to place an order on nbastie.com. In doing so, you will need to complete the billing, delivery and payment fields for each order. A user’s personal information and credit card number required for online payment is only transmitted to the external provider responsible for processing online transactions. As a security measure, we do not keep any credit card numbers provided as part of an online transaction.
 

Can I cancel my order once it has been submitted?

Once an order has been submitted, it cannot be cancelled. If you have inadvertently clicked on “Place Order”, you must refer to the “Returns” section and are invited to contact Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com as soon as possible.

 

Can I change my order once it has been submitted?

I placed an order, but I made a mistake in the delivery address, what to do?

You must contact Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com as soon as possible to prevent the order from being shipped to this address.

As a buyer, what information should I expect to receive as a result of my order?

Once your order is placed, you will receive two emails:
(1) A confirmation of receipt of the order, when it has been received by Bastien-artiste. This automated order confirmation email will be sent to you at the email address provided at the time of purchase within 30 minutes of the order;
(2) A confirmation of acceptance of the order by Bastien-artiste that will be sent to you at the email address provided when ordering, within one business day. This email will also include the official invoice in PDF format, the digital photo of the work (or works) purchased, as well as any relevant information relating to the shipment of the order.
In case of non-receipt of any of these emails, customers are asked to contact Bastien-artiste customer service as soon as possible by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com .

As a buyer, will I receive an official proof of purchase?

Although the order confirmation email confirms payment for the order, this document is not an invoice. The official invoice will be sent to you in PDF format with the confirmation email of acceptance of the order, within one working day following the order. Please note that a paper version of the invoice will be attached to your shipment, in an envelope affixed to the parcel.In case of non-receipt of the invoice, please contact Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com .

How can I pay for my order online?

You can pay with PayPal. You will need to provide all the required information when placing the order.

 

When will my order be charged?

The total amount of the order is automatically debited at the time of placing your order.

What happens to my order if payment is refused?

If payment is not authorized, your order will be cancelled and a notification that the transaction has failed will appear on the screen. If you still want to receive the works you ordered, you will need to place your order again with PayPal only.

 

Do you offer payment terms for online orders?

We cannot offer installment payment terms for orders placed online. Any purchase made through nbastie.com must be paid in full.
For any purchase made in the gallery or by phone, the Bastien-artiste Courtesy Service allows you to spread the payments over a defined period (6, 12, 24, 36, 48 months or more), without any fees or interest. For example, for a purchase of $3,600 CAD, payment can be made by:
6 payments of $600/month;
12 payments of $300/month;
24 payments of $150/month;
36 payments of $100/month or other, depending on the agreements reached.
Payments are made by monthly debit from a credit card. The acquired work is sent without delay after full payment.

Where can I have my order shipped?

Online orders are shipped anywhere in Canada*. Orders cannot be delivered to a PO Box; please ensure you provide a valid street address.
* Some shipping restrictions apply to some remote areas including Nunavut, Yukon and Northwest Territories. Inquire at 1-438-390-7601.

 

What are the shipping costs in Canada?

Shipping service is priced for shipments to Canada*. In addition, Bastien-artiste offers free packaging and handling services for purchases to be shipped.
* Some shipping restrictions apply to some remote areas including Nunavut, Yukon and Northwest Territories. Inquire at 1-438-390-7601.

Do you ship internationally?

Works that can be purchased through the site may be sold and distributed only to customers in Canada; the nbastie.com website does not allow online purchase for customers outside of Canada. Those who wish to make an acquisition can nevertheless do so by contacting Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com .
Orders placed outside of Canada, including from the United States, are not subject to the Canadian Federal Goods and Services Tax, applicable provincial sales taxes, or other Canadian taxes and duties associated with an order for products. For shipments outside Canada**, the cost of delivery is based on the destination, weight, format and value of the work(s) and includes any taxes and customs duties imposed by the authorities of the country of destination.

Is it possible to have an order delivered to several addresses?

If you wish to ship works to different addresses, you must place separate orders.

What are the delivery methods?

Online orders are shipped through courier companies (Purolator or UPS) or Canada Post and are shipped anywhere in Canada. We reserve the right to choose the most appropriate carrier according to the package format, weight and destination. Quebec customers wishing to receive their package by bus (via the nearest Expedibus service point) or customers wishing to pick up their purchase in the gallery are asked to contact Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at number 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com before placing their order.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times may vary depending on the destination address, the method of delivery and the dimensions of the package. Delivery is usually made within 1 to 30 working days (Monday to Friday, holidays not included). Deliveries are made during normal business hours.

How are your works packed for transport?

The works are carefully packed in high density triple thickness cardboard and/ or styrofoam boxes made to measure and very safe. Our packaging is adapted to the size and weight of each shipment.

 

How can I track my package?

At the time the online purchase order is shipped, Canada Post, Purolator or UPS will send an email to the email address provided during the order confirming that the order was picked up and left the gallery. You can track your package using the tracking number received in this shipping confirmation. If you have not received anything, contact Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com .

I would like to receive my shipment at a specific time, is this possible?

Deliveries are made during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, holidays not included. Due to factors related to delivery volumes and possible changes to the delivery route of the selected shipping services, we are unable to confirm the delivery time of the packages. As we understand that it is not always easy to be home to receive your shipments, we can offer you other delivery methods, more flexible, or take measures to allow you to know in advance the estimated delivery date. Can I change the delivery address of my order?

Once an order has been placed, no changes can be made, including the delivery address. However, if an error occurs in the delivery address of the order, we will make every effort to prevent the order from being shipped to that address. Please contact Bastien-artiste Customer Service at 1-438-390-7601 or info@nbastie.com as soon as possible.

What happens if I am not home when my order is delivered to my home?

When available, the «Signature required» option is always retained by Bastien-artiste to prevent a package from being left at its destination without anyone having taken possession of it.
If you are not at home when your order is delivered to you, the package will be delivered to a third party available at the delivery address. If no one is available to pick up the delivery, the package will be held at the postal outlet (Canada Post) or forwarded to the nearest drop-off point (Purolator, UPS) for subsequent delivery or pickup. A delivery notice will be left to tell you where and how to pick up your shipment.

I’m afraid my order is lost, what to do?

If you have any concerns during transportation, please contact Bastien-artiste Customer Service at 1-438-390-7601 or info@nbastie.com . We will take charge of tracking the package with the carrier and monitoring the situation. Please note that we fully assume the risk of loss of works purchased through nbastie.com website.

What should I do if the order I receive is damaged?

Our competent staff makes every effort to ensure that packages reach their destination in perfect condition. Despite these precautions and despite the exceptional nature of such situations, it is not impossible that a breakage occurs during a shipment. Also, you must review your shipment upon receipt. If an item is received damaged, you are required to:
— advise the carrier of the condition of the package and have the carrier sign the delivery note in respect of that finding;
- Clearly photograph the outer packaging and damage to its contents and email the photos to us at info@nbastie.com with a detailed description of the damage within 48 hours of receiving the package.
If you meet at least one of these conditions, the damaged work received may be refunded in full, replaced by a work of equivalent value or credited on a future purchase online or in the workshop, at your convenience. For this purpose, you must contact Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com as soon as possible.

What is your return and exchange policy for online purchases?

In the event that a work purchased online via nbastie.com does not meet your expectations, a return without exchange is possible under the conditions below.
— Up to 48 hours after receiving your order:
   - Refund of 90% of the total cost of the returned work, including taxes;
   — Return of the work in its original box, at the expense of Bastien-artiste.

— Between 48 hours and 10 days after receiving your order:
  - Future purchase credit equal to 90% of the total cost of the returned work, including taxes;
  — Return of the work in its original box, at the expense of Bastien-artiste.

In the event that a work purchased online via nbastie.com does not meet your expectations, a return with exchange is possible under the conditions below.
— Up to 10 days from receipt of your order:
   - Exchange value equal to 100% of the total cost of the work to be exchanged, including taxes;
   - Exchanges of equal or greater value accepted;
   — Work to be returned to the workshop, in its original box and at the client’s expense. No exchanges accepted by mail or courier.

 

How can I make a return?

For a return without exchange, the first thing to do is to contact Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com . We will then be able to arrange for the safe return of the work to the workshop, at our expense.
Note: A return cannot be made without completing this step. Following this process, an email containing a prepaid return label will be sent to the customer. The artwork and its framing (if applicable) must be returned in their original condition, in perfect condition, in the original box.

For an exchange return, it is essential to contact Bastien-artiste customer service by phone at 1-438-390-7601 or by email at info@nbastie.com before you come to the workshop for an exchange. The artwork and its framing (if applicable) must be returned in their original condition, in perfect condition, in the original box.

 

When will I receive the credit or refund for my return?

After receiving your return, we will process your request within 1-10 business days. You will receive an email notification once the return is processed. If applicable, a credit for future purchase will be issued to you or a refund will be credited to the original payment method. Note that processing a refund by the financial institution may take up to 3-7 more business days.
